The sleep dial #
A 24-hour ring with a moon handle and a sun handle. Drag either to move your bedtime or wake time; the arc between them is your sleep window and the centre reads out its length — “7h 30m of sleep”. The caption underneath says “Drag the moon or sun to adjust”.
The settings #
| Row | Options |
|---|---|
| Bedtime | An hour/minute wheel. Starts at 22:30. |
| Wake up | An hour/minute wheel. Starts at 06:00. |
| Repeat | Every day (default), Weekdays or Weekends, or pick days yourself. There is no “Once” — a sleep routine recurs by nature. |
| Wind-down | Off, or 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes before bedtime. Default 30 min before. |
| Wake sound | The same sound picker the alarms use. Starts on Westminster Chime. |
The wind-down reminder #
At the chosen lead time, Chimely posts a quiet, dismissible notification — “Wind down for bed” / “Time to start winding down”. It does not ring; tapping it just opens the app.
Turning bedtime on #
There is no on/off switch on the Bedtime tab. Setting your times does not arm the schedule. Once you have configured it, a “Sleep · Wake up” row appears at the top of the Alarms tab — that switch is what turns the whole schedule on and off, both the wake alarm and the wind-down reminder. Tapping the row itself jumps back to Bedtime.
Because the wake-up is a real alarm, it behaves like one: it appears in the alarm list and rings with your chosen wake sound. It cannot be swiped away there — turn it off with its switch, or change it from Bedtime.
